I've made these videos for you for 8 straight weeks. Today is a goodbye. The thing is - I never wanted to be out there. I don't do networking events, talking to lots of people, and support groups. I'm the happiest sitting in the little corner in my room where my desk faces the trees and there's a bookshelf with hundreds of books next to me. That's just me. Creating quietly and doing what I enjoy. Making these videos has been way out of my comfort zone for me. I'm pulling the plug off today and may (or may not) be back soon. Your experience reminded me of the time when I started creating videos a couple of years back. For the exact same reason, I had avoided it for a while: I don't want to look perfect or put on a tonne of makeup or get up to antics I don't enjoy for the camera. But stepping in front of it as myself turned out to be such a great decision because it helped me realise I add tremendous value just as I am. And so have you! I bet people really appreciated someone showing up exactly as they were and being honest about both the hard parts and the benefits of showing up. Give yourself a huge pat on the back and enjoy your holiday Niharikaa. 😊
This is the most honest video I have seen in a while! Content creation doesn't have to mean what is in trend. But it is all about showing up in the way you want while sharing your experiences. And you also showed how hard being in the glare of social media can be and what other creators go through.
